JHI is the premier Guyana-focused deepwater exploration company. With leadership actively exploring offshore Guyana since 1998, our world-class technical team has experience around the Atlantic Margin, including with Guyana’s basin-opening discoveries. Along with our SuperMajor partners ExxonMobil and Total, and Guyana-based Mid-Atlantic Oil & Gas, Inc., we look forward to writing the next chapter of exploration success in the Canje Block.

JHI is a partner in the deepwater Canje Block, located ~180km offshore Guyana and adjacent the prolific Stabroek block which is home to 18 discoveries of more than 9 billion BOE. Blanketed by and in direct contact with multiple source rocks, Canje’s geology is uniquely composed of confined “Liza-like” channel complex prospects and potentially larger basin floor fans. With our first well scheduled for 2020, we look forward to expanding Guyana’s offshore success.

Guyana finds itself at the intersection of world-class geology and competitive fiscal terms making it the preeminent offshore exploration address. The deepwater discoveries offshore Guyana are the most important of the new millennium, and JHI’s Canje Block is in the center of the action. With multiple source rocks blanketing the entire block, Canje will be leading the next wave of Guyana’s exploration success

Our roots in Guyana run deep as our leadership is in its third decade exploring offshore. JHI is committed to transparency in all we do, which extends beyond the search for oil and gas. We engage in a collaborative manner with public and private stakeholders to ensure we have a positive impact on the communities which have provided us the license to explore on their behalf. Our primary area of social development focus is in the area of STEM educational opportunities, the arts, and youth sports.
